Is death enough?

Posted on July 10, 2006 - Filed Under Uncategorized

I am not the kind of person wishes suffering on people; that’s way too…uncompassionate for me. However, my first thought when I read last week that Enron founder Ken Lay had died was that he got off easy. If you’ve ever read any of the profiles of the people who suffered and continue to suffer because of the actions on this man and a few of his employees, you’ll know what I am saying. Still, I hestitate to completely agree with myself. I’ve read that Mr Lay served in the Navy, gave money to charity, etc., etc. So, I guess in the end, I think that to the extent he caused peoples’ lives to fall apart, he should have gotten more than death by heart attack.
