Be prepared

I heard on NPR this morning that the state of Florida is launching a new website to assist people in preparing for a hurricane or some other diaster. From what I understand, you type in some information about you (what county you live in, whether you have pets, etc.) and it returns a personalized plan for your family or business in the event you should need one. You’ll have to establish a username and password–you just have to think of something, enter it, and write it down so you don’t forget it. (The site will accept whatever you invent so long as someone else out there has not come up with the same exact thing.) I haven’t looked at it in depth but it seems you could fake living in Florida by entering bogus location information and still get a pretty good idea of what you should do in such a situation. It’s always good to be prepared.

we hada very busy day ,got our road map to Idaho, great we are going to Denver on the way. by the way 95 percent of rural roads in Idaho are not passable in the winter months so glad you are not there. looks like the mountains are beautiful in the summer.
