Raising Us

Our evolution, herein contained

babble, babble, babble

Posted on May 16, 2006 - Filed Under The Daily Doodle

Maggie has started talking within the last week or so. She seems to do more babbling at night for whatever reason. It is really cute. She has a bunch of different sounds and volumes that she is working on. I read where 2 month olds babies are capable of seeing everything within 8-10 feet clearly. That is a big leap from newborn eyes only able to see 8-10 inches. Those extra viewing feet have helped Maggie notice AbbyCat who hangs out with us on the dresser when Maggie is getting her diaper changed. Maggie has also discovered she can sooth herself by sucking on her fist. I thought at first she did it because she was hungry but I think she does it because it makes her happy. Sometimes she sucks so hard we can hear it in another room!

It seems that Maggies colic is going away - finally! She is starting to be the same Maggie all day long instead of being a night Maggie (cranky) and a day Maggie (happy).

of course she is starting to make sounds to learn to talk. Keep talking to her and she will be minicking your sounds. She is a happy baby colic is not fun for baby or parents.
