“I love my wife and I raise my son [or daughter], best I can, better than some/I just found out the other day I got another little that’s on the way”*

“Workin’ Man” by Hank Williams, III. This guy is the definition of eclectic musician. Check him out if you are into variety, but you are going to have to keep an open mind.
I know the title caught you, so I will go ahead and get to that first–yes, we are indeed expecting another baby. The due date is mid-June ‘09. Suspicions thus far are that it’s a boy, although these have not been confirmed as of yet. Erin has her 20 week sonogram the day after Inauguration Day at which we could find out if we choose to. I very much do not want to but Erin is actively arguing the other side, so we’ll see how it all shakes out. Anyway, she is having a difficult pregnancy this time, at least relative to when she carried Maggie. The only issue she dealt with then was constant heartburn; this time, it has been nausea, being really tired, and generally not feeling well which have plagued her. To explain this difference, she has decided the child must be a boy. Maggie is the only one convinced of the opposite; in fact, she has already chosen a name–Lily.
In other news, Erin and I each took two classes this Fall. Let me tell, you that was brutal. I will not be doing that again. I have never been able to figure it out: I knew nontraditional, older students in college who were taking a full load (12 credits) and managed to have a family at the same time. Hell, some even had jobs! And here I was, not even being able to hold a decent GPA. In my classes now, I do have the good grades but I can assure you–all of us suffer for it. My weekends for the last three months have about school for the most part, which really sucked. I can’t even begin to tell you the number of times I had to tell Maggie I could not play with her because I had school work to do. I missed basically the entirety of deer and elk seasons because of it. I am hoping it will pay off someday, somehow.
Over the last week and a half, we also managed to move to a bigger house. I am just now finishing that up. It happened to coincide with my finals, so that made it even more fun. The good thing is, Erin’s parents and my sister will not have to cram themselves into our little two bedroom when they arrive for Christmas in a few days.
One other very significant thing about the last four months comes to mind: We crossed our two year mark of being here in lovely Mountain Home back in October. I have a promise to me that we will not be here any longer than four years–let me tell you, we have been (and still are) clinging to that like you would not believe. Yeah, yeah, there are worse places–I get that, but this is our reality right now and we don’t like it very much. I am hoping to cross over into another career field when these last two years are up, so we’ll see how that all goes.
Anyway, you have no idea how badly Erin and I feel for not posting here in 4 MONTHS. We feel like real slugs and I can promise you that it won’t happen again. So, please keep checking back for updates. And don’t forget to comment!!!

I`m sure it`s a boy! As they say in our retirement community GRANDMOTHERS KNOW
are we taking bets?
So glad to see the stockBLOGGERS are back!!!
I’m thinking a girl. I was extremely ill with both boys. Pretty text book with Lauren. Your symptoms also seem textbook. I think you were really luck with Maggie. Anyway some women swear you only get sick with girls. Who knows maybe grandma in FL knows best.
