Tingalayo

Last night after Maggie’s bath, she was full of energy. We usually let her run around the house naked after her bath becuase she truly enjoys it. She will run through the house giggling trying to get away with not having to put on any clothes. Last night while Jason was watching Criminal Minds I gave Maggie a bath. Afterwards, she was so excited that she danced naked around her room in circles for at least :30 minutes. Then when she pee’d on the floor I figured she was doing some sort of ‘toddler Native American PeePee dance’! But, after she pee’d, I tried to get her dressed but she pointed to the CD player wanting music. So I put on the Wee Dance Around the World CD that is 46 children’s songs from all different countries. We only made it to song #6, a West Indies sing called Tingalayo (Donkey Song). She really liked the song and asked me to play it again by pointing to the CD player saying “Again, again, again.” I must have played that song and watched her dance around the room at least 10 times. Finally she looked exhausted. Needless to say, she went to sleep with no problems. I think Maggie must have lived in the West Indies in another life based on how she immediately took to the song!

Just stopping in to say “Hi” and catch up. Sounds like you all are doing well. I know Maggie is doing amazing things everyday. Sounds like she and Jaiden have many things in common. Jaiden loves to run through the house naked after every bath too. Take care!! I am so looking forward to Christmas this year–Hope you are as well-kids make this time of year so much fun..
