Not my favorite

Erin really likes watching the Food Network. I don’t mind that; it gives her good ideas for stuff to cook and she enjoys cooking, so it’s all good. However, one of the shows she likes to watch is hosted by this woman named Giada De Laurentiis, who I can’t stand. First of all, she has the whitest teeth I have even seen and is not shy at all about showing them off, i.e. she smiles really huge all the time. Speaking of not being shy about showing stuff off, she is always wearing low-cut shirts, showing lots of cleavage. Now obviously, I am a heterosexual man, so maybe I shouldn’t be complaining about this but I have a real problem with women attempting to get what they want through exploiting themselves. Of course, there’s two problems with me saying this: 1. Maybe that’s just the kind of stuff she likes to wear and who am I to assume she’s exploiting herself? and 2. I go to Hooters and eat (not to mention, look) and isn’t that a building full of women exploiting themselves? Well, yeah, I hear ya on the first question; I shouldn’t assume. On the second point, those women are work-a-day folks just trying to get by; I’d shake my ass too if I had kids to feed, was well endowed, and couldn’t afford to go to college. Giada obviously doesn’t fit into the ’starving waitress’ category.

Turns out, there is a vicious virus one can catch called giardia. Typically, you get it as a result of drinking water from a stream or lake in the wild without having filtered it first. I joke with Erin that Giada makes me feel like I have giardia.

You sound like an old man… and not to mention, you’ve lost some serious man points with that post. Amy (and I) love Giada, too, and I’ve never noticed what kind of outfit she wears… I just think she is beautiful (she can smile all day for all I care).

And isn’t it an assumption as well to say that the chicks at hooters have kids to feed at home or too broke to go to college? They might be married to doctor’s and just love doing that to build up their self esteem.
