Trying to take a walk

I tried to walk up to the store with Maggie two times today but the wind was so bad I had to turn around. Evidently the wind is a characteristic of the fall season here in Idaho. Unfortunately along with the wind comes dust from the desert. I think I ate a mouthful of sand/dirt trying to get back to the house. My eyes feel like I have been at the beach all day. My mouthful of dirt and eye issues all this happened in the five minutes we were outside. Even Maggie was happy to go back into the house - which is so uncharacteristic of her. If it were snowing right now it would be a complete whiteout. I can’t believe people like to live here. Just as a side note, Jason, Maggie and I will have been here a year on October 14. Only three more years left to go!
