What a week it’s going to be

Well, I am taking the third (behind the first, buying a gun, and the second, working on marksmanship) step toward becoming a real hunter: I am taking the hunter’s safety course for the state of Idaho this week. Time wise, it’s pretty demanding: M-F 6-9pm, Sat 9am-12pm, and again on the following Mon 6-9pm. I feel noble taking it because, according to the rules, I am old enough to not have to. I am taking it nonetheless because I know being reminded of even very basic information in this case could not hurt. Also, it will make Erin feel better about me actually going out into the woods. It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have a whole set of papers to grade by Thursday. It also sucks because I will have no time with the ladies.

Speaking of the ladies, the little one had a first today: A little girl down the street, who we know from the neighborhood play area, came to the door and wanted to know if Maggie could come out to play (this is all secondhand from Erin). This girl is about 6 or so, so it’s kind of weird she wanted to play with Maggie. Erin thinks that Jillian (the little girl in this story) thinks Maggie is some kind of a toy; I tend to disagree because Jillian has a little sister who’s somewhere around 2 and a half. Anyway, Erin said no because of the whole weirdness thing. I think it would have been good because at this stage, Maggie needs all the socializing she can get. Also, who knows? Maybe Jillian wanted to talk to Erin and was just using playing with Maggie as a ruse.

Jake - could you e-mail us your address - we got some great coupons from our pledge to WNCW for some delicious restaurants in Ash’vegas and we would hate for them to go to waste. Say Hi to Amy and the Kids - I bet Reagan has a full head of hair now - send pictures!

    Hello!!

I was just reading your last blog and when I was little, I use to always hang out with the other moms in the neighborhood and help them with their kids so maybe the little girl (Jillian) just wanted to hang out with the cool mom on the block. Hope all is well for you all. Think of you often even though I totally suck at keeping in touch..Miss you!! p.s. on a CNU note, Donna took a job in at SUU in Utah so she will be heading your way mid July. Think she and Jerry will be in Cedar City, UT. Is that close to you all?
