Maggie update–body parts

We haven’t written here in a while and we definitely haven’t written about Nugget updates in even longer. I can’t write everything because it’s late and I need to go to bed, so I’ll just tell you about one aspect of her recent development, namely her understanding of body part vocabulary.
She can identify, on demand, all of the following body parts: hair, ears, eyes, mouth, nose, belly, and toes (shoes, too, if she happens to be wearing them). We have also been working on getting her to distinguish between her ear, for example, and someone else’s. In addition to grabbing the body part or pointing to it, she can also pretty much say ‘ear.’ (At some point in the near future, I hope to get recordings of all her spoken vocabulary and post them here–standby for that.)
