*Ain’t Wastin’ Time No More by The Allman Brothers Band. I REALLY like the Allmans but only have one or two of their discs. Musically, they’re right on with the whole Southern Rock thing and do a pretty good job (some might say that’s an underestimation of criminal proportions) of combining blues and rock. Needless to say, if you’ve never heard them or of them, you really ought to do yourself a favor and correct that.
Lately, I have been struggling with personal issues revolving around how I live my life, i.e. how I spend my time, why I get stressed out sometimes, the fact that I cannot seem to engage in some of the things I really ought to do (e.g. exercise) and some of the things I would really like to do (e.g. read). I have been turning these thoughts over and over in my head. Then, I had a mild epiphany this afternoon: Only do the things which enrich my life because there simply is not enough time to waste on those which do not. More to come on this as I am hopefully able to work this strategic level thought into something a little more practical.
