Tomorrow’s the big day

It’s here–my debut to the world of education. Yes, I am nervous; to not be would be foolish or arrogant or maybe both. Yes, I am confident; to not be is a sure path to failure. Yes, I am a little distraught due to the lack of good training and the speed with which I am being thrust before the students; to not be would mean I am blind to the optimal way of doing things. With all of that said, I am ready for whatever comes, whether it be good or bad. We did not make this decision lightly or without considering whether this is what we really wanted. Therefore, it is incumbent upon me to take the good with the bad and there will surely be both. My hope is that I may see clear the path to maximizing the former and learning from and correcting the latter.
