We’re back

We are finally beginning to feel at home here. We have a permanent place to live, I have started work, we have phone, internet, and cable TV service at home, and we seem to be working our way into a groove.
I start teaching this coming week…pretty scary.
Maggie is still having a great deal of trouble sleeping at night. It’s a struggle, for us and for her. We are flirting with the ‘cry it out’ method but can’t seem to ‘stay the course’ (to borrow a horrible phrase).
The house is pretty cool. Erin’s happy with it and that’s what counts the most. I have found that, as long as I have a few basic things, I can pretty much sleep wherever. But Erin and Maggie need a little more obviously. I have talked to a couple of people over the last week or so and it has provided some perspective. It could be (perhaps very convincingly) argued that these people were much more deserving of getting a house than we were and, yet, here we are. We feel amazingly fortunate; had we not gotten here when we did, it’s very likely we would not be living here. So, with that out of the way, we feel pretty good about Mountain Home thus far.
