Maggie updates from Erin

Hi to everyone who has left comments this past week! Jason and I have been very busy getting acclimated to our new Western territory. Currently we have extremely limited internet access – in fact, we have to drive up to the beer and cigarette store called ‘Big Smoke’ and sit outside in the car to get connected. They are the only folks in town we have found with wireless internet access. We got good news on Friday. Jason’s employer notified us that we have a house in the provided housing area. It is brand-spankin’ new too! They’ve been destroying all the old housing and building new homes. They are really cute arts and crafts homes. We get a garage, back yard with a covered grilling patio and a big front porch! I was so happy when we got the phone call from the housing office that I almost cried!

Maggie has been busy growing and developing. And boy does she have personality! Maggie has been successful in saying “babababa” and has finally moved onto “mamamamama.” Thanks to my mother she mastered the “scream” fairly early on. Maggie loves talking to the animals in full sentences. It sounds like, “UghmababaAhhbamaAhhhnabamama”. I’m not quite sure if the animals understand what she is saying or not.  Jason taught Maggie how to kiss – and it is so cute! Maggie and I played peak-a-boo in the back seat of the car last night coming home from Boise. Actually, Maggie was playing peak-a-boo with me!  She stands up on everything and tries to eat anything within her reach.  When Jason and I eat, Maggie stares us down with a determined look in her eyes and smacks her lips. If we don’t feed her something immediately she starts to yell at us.  I think we are actually starting to get to the fun part!

I am so glad to hear you will have a nice home soon. Those pictures are adorable Maggie keeps getting cuter and cuter all the time. I still love your new new haircut(best ever) We tried going to Boo at the Zoo in Cleveland but you know the wheather here it was 40 degrees major wind storm with 35m/h and rain sleet mix. We were very disapointed especially since we had to pay in advance. Good luck Jason as you start your new job!!!!
