The long trip to come

It took me 6 hours to map out our trip to Idaho. Why so long, you say? Because we are going to take 6 nights and 7 days to get out there. We will also be visiting Maggie’s Aunt Jessica in Colorado along the way. Our drive will be from Florida to Idaho, almost a complete diagonal across the USA. Another 8 hours from Idaho and we would be in Seattle, Washington. I spent most of the 6 hours online and on the phone calling hotels to clarify there pet policy. Lucky for me someone created the www.petswelcome.com website that allows you to plug  in your trip specifications and it spits back all the ‘pet friendly’ hotels along the way. But, you still need to find out which hotels are close to the interstate and if the hotel will except 2 cats and a 75 pound dog. Actually, I was pretty suprised to find out there are quite a number of hotels that allow pets. I made sure each hotel has wireless internet access so Jason and I can write a daily trip blog. Our cross country trek will begin the first weekend in October.

Gee, I thought our trip to Ashville was long with 2 toddlers but you guys take the gold. You are really in for an adventure with Maggie and the animals. I will be thinking of you everyday and praying for your safe travels. What memories you will have of all this to share with Maggie when shes older. Take lots of pictures! Miss you
