About a week ago, I was goofing around with the Magpie, saying silly things to her using a silly voice. Suddenly, she giggled!! I almost couldn’t believe it. I kept doing it and, yes, it was true, she actually did laugh. Erin could hear it from an another room. At first, Maggie wouldn’t respond to Erin with laughter but it only took a couple days for her to come around. Now we can make her laugh a good percentage of the times we try…sometimes, however, she just sits there.
By the way, for those of you who aren’t keeping track, the little one turned four months this past Saturday. That’s actually another development, albeit not exactly recent: We aren’t counting her age in weeks anymore. This probably started when she turned three months…just kind of sounds funny to say ’she’s 14 weeks’ instead of 3 and a half months.
